New Life HR Solutions’ is an HR consulting firm founded in 2011. Our mission is to provide superior service and legal compliance guidance in the areas of compensation, benefits, recruitment, employee relations, employee handbooks, policies procedures and strategic planning to small and mid-sized businesses. New Life HR Solutions will work on a project basis or provide HR Management support on or off-site where little or no HR function exists.

Lucille Mavrokefalos - President & Founder

Lucille Mavrokefalos has a degree in Accounting and over 30 years in the Human Resources field in executive level positions with extensive knowledge and background in all areas of Human Resources. Prior to starting her own Human Resources Consulting firm she was VP of HR for a large global company overseeing HR for the North American Division of 3,000+ employees, which included locations in Mexico. Lucille has been a HR consultant for over 12 years assisting all size industries in HR strategy, compensation plans, benefits, payroll, employee relations, recruiting, compliance, policy creation and implementation, handbooks, and provides services as an on-site HR manager to augment or where none exists. Lucille specializes in setting up HR Departments’ infrastructure and mentoring junior level HR people.

Lucille was co-chair of the Human Resource Committee for HIA-LI for over 13 years and is a member of SHRM, past member of Moxxie Network, Amityville School Business Partnership Council, Island Drafting Advisory Council, the Business Advisory Council for Community Enterprises and served on the Board of Directors of the Long Island Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Lucille frequently speaks at various events and has contributed her knowledge and expertise to Long Island Business News, Newsday and has done spot interviews on CBS and ABC News regarding various HR topics.

Karen Anderson - Director of HR Consulting

Karen has over 15 year's experience as a Human Resources Professional partnering with executive management and managing all levels of employees. She has a BA in Business Management and a certification in HR Management and PHR. She is well versed in all areas of HR from employee relations and mentoring to Benefits and Compliance.

Prior to joining New Life HR Solutions, Karen held several HR leadership positions at a variety of different industries, including non-profits and construction, small to large in size. This variety has given her the experience of complex work environments, governing laws and compliance requirements.

Karen is an active member of SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management and HIA-LI (Hauppauge Industrial Association, LI).

Kirsten Petersen - HR Coordinator/Analyst 

Kirsten has prior experience in office administration and HR functions in her prior positions. In addition to her HR role, Kirsten interacts with clients and handling some IT, marketing, research and analysis functions for our company.
